My hope is that the students will immerse themselves in this new way of reflecting on and sharing our learning. The plan is to use the GSuite for Education (Google Apps for Education) tools (e.g. Hangouts, YouTube, Blogger, GDrive) to record and share our learning and our wonders.
Today we recorded some of the work we did in Math, check it out and enjoy! As well, feel free to comment here or tweet us @g45sebstars!

The following information is about the inner workings of how the audio and video above were put together, how the blog site was created, and future considerations.
Work flow:
- Google Hangout on Air via YouTube to capture audio/video
- iPevo document camera set up and connected to classroom desktop to capture video
- Mic attached to headset used to capture audio
- After hangout is complete, class watched the video and talked about the accuracy of the information that was provided, corrections/deletions, reflect on the learning
- Audio was taken from the YouTube video via https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/video-converter
- MP3 created from online video converter was downloaded and placed in Google Drive
- Link for the Audio was acquired and sharing settings were changed to "anyone with the link can access"
- MP3 sharing link from Google Drive was inserted in the blog post
- Video was embeded from YouTube
- Blog was created by logging into Blogger and simply creating a new blog site. Blog was named, theme was chosen, and an email subscription gadget was added.
- Future considerations: students will write the text for the blog, students will play a greater role in the creation of the audio/video.
- The name of the blog, "Mr. C's Suite Class Podcast/VLOG" is a play on the word "Sweet". It is a "Sweet" blog but because we will be using Google apps through Google's GSuite for Education we thought that we would change the word "Sweet" to Suite.
