Kindergarten Visit (Religion-Advent)

Today we visited with one of the Kindergarten classes. We read a Christmas themed story to them called "Mooseltoe". As you will hear in our podcast, our visit with them served a few different purposes. As we move through the Advent season, we are doing our best to be aware of our thoughts, feelings, and actions and how they may affect the people around us.

The visit with the Kindergarten students started because of a class meeting we had a short while ago. We were talking about Advent and how we would be preparing for Jesus' birth. A staff member, who happens to work in Kindergarten, heard what we were talking about, came into our class, and joined us in discussion. It led her to reflect on her own actions which led to an invitation to join her class for a book reading.

Over the next two weeks of Advent we look forward to at least two more encounters with the Kindergarten class. Listen in to our thoughts/reflections to get a better understanding of the learning that is happening here.
